A Young Shepherd’s Silent Cry in a Cold, Lonely Kennel

He doesn’t bark. He doesn’t growl. He just stands there — frozen, trembling, looking straight into the lens with eyes that seem to ask one question: “Why am I here… and will anyone come for me?”
Every part of him whispers fear, confusion, sadness. The kind of sadness that only a dog who has already given up hope can show.

Animal Details
Kato — Animal ID A1886581
Male, approximately 2 years old
80 lbs, black and tan German Shepherd
Shelter notes label him “Code Red,” frightened, misunderstood, and at risk. But his video shows something different — a scared, confused young dog who just doesn’t understand why he’s in this place.

He has been at the shelter since November 6, 2025.
His deadline to leave is November 14, 2025 by 5 PM.

Shelter Location
Riverside County Animal Control – San Jacinto Shelter
581 S. Grand Ave.
San Jacinto, CA 92582
Email for rescue/transfer commitment: TransferDAS@rivco.org

Kato is running out of time. He is scared — not aggressive. He needs someone willing to look past the shelter labels and see the terrified young soul in the photo. Please share, foster, rescue, or pledge. One person can change his entire story. Let that person be you.
